Overview
10,000-acre forest health monitoring project for a Pacific Northwest timber company. Mapped beetle infestation and fire risk zones using LiDAR and multispectral sensors.
Project Scope
Comprehensive forest health assessment across 10,000 acres of managed timberland in Oregon. Used LiDAR for canopy structure analysis and multispectral sensors for vegetation stress mapping.
Key Findings
Mapped 1,200 acres of mountain pine beetle infestation and identified 3 high-risk fire corridors. Delivered priority-ranked remediation recommendations that guided selective harvesting and prescribed burn planning.
