Overview
Early-season powdery mildew and phylloxera detection campaign across 12 premium Napa Valley vineyards using UV-enhanced imaging. Protected an estimated $2.1M in crop value.
Challenge
Napa Valley winegrowers needed early disease detection to prevent the spread of powdery mildew before it became visible to the naked eye. Traditional scouting methods were too slow and labor-intensive to cover the entire acreage.
Solution & Results
Deployed multispectral drone surveys across 12 vineyards totaling 340 acres. Detected early-stage infection signatures in 8 zones, allowing growers to apply targeted fungicide treatment 3 weeks earlier than ground-scouting would have revealed.
